  1. I have a question regarding 24 bit files with an Ipod. I own an "older" 5th Generation Ipod Classic. I have read that the ipods are capable of outputting 24/48 resolution. I went ahead and did some rips of some DVD-A discs, and converted those into 24/48 files in apple lossless, and then imported those into itunes, and then into my ipod. Once I had these tracks into my ipod, I went to play one of them, and the ipod froze. After backing out of the track, I went to play one of the non 24/48 tracks, and those would not play either. I had to restore the ipod in order to get it to work again. My question relates to if anyone knows if the current Classic (7th Generation) can play 24/48 tracks on its own (not through itunes). Many thanks.
  2. New to the forum with a general question regarding dvd rips and burning the results. I'm now in the process of ripping all of my dvd-audio discs via DVD-Audio Extractor. All of my files are at the highest bit depth and sample rate for any given disc, and all of my results are output to wav files. My question relates to the next step in the process. I'm trying to find advice on software, so I can take these resulting wav files, and burn them to a dvd-r for playback. I'm hoping to find a menu-less (autoplay) solution for my Oppo BDP-83 and 93. One of the questions that relates to this issue is whether or not the output wav files from DVD-A Extractor contain any kind of DRM, or if there are any 'roadbumps' in creating a playable disk (CPPM, ect). Many thanks for any advice/assistance.
