    HQ Player

Sorry for interrupting, but I installed HQ Player/Roon in my new Surface Book and I am having a "scaling" problem: the settings dialog box is almost unreadable under HQ Player. I tried to rescale, and to disable scaling for HQ Player and the problem persists. The OS is Windows 10. Thx in advance for helping

Thanks Yincr and Miska. The RJ45 port of the DAC goes to the switch, as the ethernet port of the MacMini. If I use Jriver, it handles this connection and steam music from the NAS which is also connected to the network. If I understand Miska's post, there are no chances to reproduce this setup with HQP/NAA.

Thx again for the answer, but I am still trying to know if I can use the RJ45 connection of my DAC (PS Audio DS with bridge II) instead of the USB one to play HQPlayer/NAA, the latter loaded in the MAcMini.

Done, and it works! Many thx for your answers. However, i still have a doubt. It works perfectly thru usb. Is there any way of using the ethernet input of the dac (e.g the bridge), instead?

Thx for the answer, but still I do not know how to proceed. How can i install NAA on my Macmini? I have a netgear active bridge in the network. How can i take advantage of it? An i agree, i do not think that there is a way of installing anything on the bridge, so the only exit seems to be via the macmini, if i am able to ellucidate the way of using it with the NAA. Hello. I am still with the trial version, and pretty impressed with the sound quality of HQP. But before going definitively onboard I would want to know more about some issues. I have a PS Audio Direct Stream with Bridge II, a Mac Mini mid 2010, a Lenovo NAS and a Surface book. I am now using either Jriver thru Ethernet and the PSA bridge, or Roon via USB. I would prefer to keep on using the bridge. So my main question is if I would be able to use HQP with a NAA seated on the mac mini and the main HQP program managed by the Surface book, everything hooked up via RJ45. The other option could imply to "install" the NAA on the bridge and the HQ player on the Surface, avoiding therefore the use of the mac mini computer. Are either or those options feasible? If yes, how? Or if not, which would the alternative for keep on using the bridge of the Direct Stream? Regards, Ricardo.

If I choose to decompress ALAC files via AIFF, would I need the same amount of space for the new files? My ALAC library is about 3Tb, so duplicating it will take a good part of the 8tbs available in my NAS. Is it worthy in SQ terms? I am also using Jriver thru ethernet with my Direct Stream, and waiting for a future compatibility between the bridge of my DAC and Roon. In this framework, which path would be the best one in terms of SQ and functionality?

Thanks for your answer. I this case I think I will wait and see if it would be some sort of integration between Roon and HQ Player, before doing a conversion like that. Regards, Ricardo

Hello Sorry for interrupting this thread, but I am new at HQ Player and trying to download my library on a NAS without success. I don't know why, only the DSD files are downloaded, while all of the others (Apple lossless) just do not show up. I have a Mac Mini connected to a PS Audio Direct Stream via USB and also networked through RJ45 , and a Lenovo NAS. I checked this thread and there were similar questions, but I never found the answer. Txs in advance, Ricardo
  12. I am not sure if you are able to control the MacMini with JRMC from another install of JR on a Windows based device like the Surface Pro
  13. Thx for the answer. My idea is to keep the MacMini with JRMC as the wired renderer and to replace the IPad by the Surface as the wireless remote. So, your answer would be to use Webgizmo instead of JRemote in Windows? Am I right?
  14. Hello I want to hear some answers before buying a new device. Right now I am using a Jriver/Jremote combo: a Mac Mini hosts JRMC, a Lenovo NAS is connected to a PS Audio Direct Stream DAC via Bridge II/Ethernet, and an iPad 4 loaded with Jremote works as the control point. For reasons not related with audio, I am planning to unify the functions of my MacBook Pro and my Ipad into one and only tablet/PC: a Surface Pro 3. However, before moving forward I want to be sure that I will be able to keep manageable my audio rig, even if I take the Ipad 4 out of the equation and introduce the Surface Pro 3 in it. I know that Jremote is not compatible with Windows, so I will not be able to use it as the control point with the Surface. So which would be the alternative to control the MacMini via the Surface Pro? Thx for any answers, Ricardo.
  15. I have a Lenovo Nas, and not even miniserver has an app for it,
