got it... looked in Audio MIDI setup in utilities and noticed it wouldn't lock on to 96hz..looked to the right and it was set to 2 channel 16 bit, put it on 2 channel 24 bit and fixed.

pure music recognizes the nova not the inova maybe thats it..I'll get in touch with pure music tomorrow. Thanks for your reply.

First off I'm new to computer audio. I'm using a 2009 dual core macbook pro laptop 10.6.8 with 6MB ram, pure music/itunes, peachtree inova, HDtracks music. The music plays fine in built in optic output but when I switch to the peachtree it sounds like its in slow motion or reduced speed...anyone help me? Thanks in advance. Mike
