  1. I went back to the user manual & read through it. I changed a few settings, & it appears I have eliminated the skipping I was experiencing. Under the "Audio System" tab I have all the low level playback options selected, except the one marked "use max I/O buffer. I have also upped the "maximum memory allocated for tracks preload from 1024MB to 1408MB, leaving al least 2500MB free for other applications (my iMac has the base 4GB DDR3 installed). Everything in the "System Optimizer" is checked, & everything in the iTunes tab is checked except "deactivate volume control by iTunes" (I like to use my iPhone with an Apple Remote app to control volume) I also shifted my DAC to another USB port. I have been loading the rest of my CD collection while listening to music through Audirvana Plus, & surfing the net, trying to induce skipping. I am not sure if one, or a combination of these things has helped, but it seems to have worked for me.
  2. I have also noticed the skipping in Audirvana Plus when embedding album art in iTunes into tracks I am loading while playing other material in Audirvana Plus; also when ripping a disc I have noticed the skipping occurs as it switches to the beginning point of a track being loaded. I have turned off all the options in the iTunes tab in preferences to see what happens.
  3. Hi wgscott. The skipping occurs sometimes when using Safari. It seems that doing most things can trigger this behavior. Before installing Audirvana I never noticed any skipping with iTunes or any other app that I can remember. Sometimes while doing other things it occasionally gets out of sync with iTunes playing a different track to what is displayed, or not moving to the next consecutive track. (If i select a different track it re-syncs itself) These anomalies don't bother me hugely, as I am thoroughly enjoying the quality of audio I am experiencing, but it would be nice to be able to do other things without these things happening, as i do like to do other things on my Mac while listening to audio. 4. Hi, I am fairly new to this, & downloaded the Audirvana Plus application, along with a paid license to use on a 2011 iMac; 15 3.1Ghz; 4GB DDR3 RAM hooked up to a FiiO E10 DAC & Creative Gigaworks T20 II Active Speakers. I love the sound quality, but was curious why I experience "skipping" on music tracks while doing other things (ripping discs to iTunes; ejecting discs; even using the browser) on the Mac. I don't experience any skipping if the only thing that is happening is music playing. Is there a setting I need to change or something else I need to do, or is it something that could be fixed with a future update? Other than this small issue everything is great. Even on such a simple & cheap set-up I get great, clear, fully staged sound. Please excuse any ignorance on my part. Thank-you in advance for any assistance.
