  1. Joe Temperley: Single Petal of a Rose (by Duke Ellington) I believe this was performed with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra under the direction of Wynton Marsalis
  2. CODA CSiB integrated amplifier. Their V2 configuration is rated at 250WPC into 8 ohm Class AB, 500WPC into 4 ohm Class AB, and stays in Class A up through 12Watts. They offer 3 configurations that are biased differently for various power outputs. I think they run about $6,000. I listened to one last year and liked what I heard. Check around on the web for reviews. http://www.coda.cc/product/

    710 µF

The capacitance of an isolated metal ball with the radius of the Earth would be about 710 microfarads. But what type of metal?
  4. These are all older, but pretty well recorded:
  5. Cannonball Adderley Quintet In Chicago . . . Cannonball Adderley & John Coltrane The Cannonball Adderley Quintet in Chicago - Cannonball Adderley Quintet,Cannonball Adderley | Songs, Reviews, Credits | AllMusic
  6. Besides many of the names already mentioned, Géza Anda would also make my list.
  7. Blue City . . . Isao Suzuki Blue City - Isao Suzuki | Songs, Reviews, Credits | AllMusic
  8. I have heard (that's a pun) that the optimum height for stand mounted speakers is to align the tweeters with the listener's ears in the listening position.
  9. Face To Face . . . Freddie Hubbard / Oscar Peterson Face to Face - Freddie Hubbard,Oscar Peterson | Songs, Reviews, Credits | AllMusic
  10. Blues & Ballads . . . Arnett Cobb, featuring Red Garland's Trio Combination of 2 albums, Sizzlin' and Ballads, into one. From Fresh Sound Records. Can be heard on Spotify.
  11. The Man I Love . . . Illinois Jacquet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnwY71nQwGg ,or listen on Spotify.
  12. If you are having trouble finding a place to audition headphones, Audio Advisor seems to have a fairly large selection to choose from. They have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee on all of the products that they offer. So if you got a pair of headphones and didn't like them, all you would be out would be the cost of return shipping. Also, 'The Cable Company' has a lending library for headphones allowing you to try out various models in your own home. However, they do charge you 5% of the price of each headphone you 'check-out'. This is a non-refundable fee, but they will credit 100% of this fee to any purchase you make. They do charge you for shipping on any items you barrow and you would have to pay for the return shipping as well. https://www.thecableco.com/Product/NEW-Headphone-Lending-Library I've never tried either of these options, but I have purchased items from both of these companies in the past. I feel comfortable recommending doing business with either one.
