  1. Hi TOny, thx for the tip, I just tried it and it works! incredible! As for the mytek, it sounds much more detailed as the CEC DAC, I noticed a great improvement.
  2. Hi Tonyx, could you detail the procedure for using the AES cable? I did not understand everything Did you experience it yourself? Thx Fred
  3. HI Guys, one addition for those who may be interested: I mentioned earlier the impossibility to play 24/96 files from my squeezebox using the mytek (no sound). Actually, the problem was coming from the toslink connection -> using the SPDIF connection between the squeezebox and the mytek, it works perfectly. What intrigates me is that with my CEC DAC I never had any pb using toslink, AES, etc... Apart from that, I still can't use my CEC drive. I of course tried all the clock settings... when it is set on Input clock it displays No LOCH (I guess this means no clock), and when it is set on internal clock, well, no sound Anyway, I won't give up Happy new year to All!
  4. Hi everybody, I received my mytek 192 DAC stereo preamp (silver) a few days ago and I am already very pleased with the sound quality. Nevertheless I came accross a few problems: - I can't use my CEC TL51X CD drive. If I connect it to the Mytek via AES or toslink, absolutely nothing happens. Not a sound. Strangely, if I connect it using the SPDIF connection (simple RCA cable) it works... - When playing 24/96 (or 24/88) files on my squeezebox (connected via toslink) nothing happens... only "parasite noises". It works perfectly with 16/44 files. With my good old CEC DX71MkII DAC all of this was working perfectly fine. Any ideas? Are there some incompatibilities of hardware? I have the firmware 1.3.2 This is frustrating because the DAC is very good with the 16/44 files. Regards Fred
