I have an Oyen external 2.5" hdd and would like to find a "quiet" power supply to power the unit instead of relying on buss power. Any suggestions?

I am curious as to the comparison of a mac mini through a usb/spdif device (audiophilleo,offramp,jkeny) versus the Bryston BDP-1 spdif output. I am trying to decide whether to invest in such a converter or to replace the mini with the Bryston that already has spdif output.

I am in the market for a dac in the $2500 price area to replace my EE Minimax. I am looking for something on the musical side with absolutely no glare/brightness/grain/harshness. In addition, I have a LF hearing loss and while I am not a bass-head, I can't afford to give up any bass with a rolled-off or bass-shy unit. I have narrowed my search so far to the RWA Pro and the AVE FET Valve hybrid dacs. I am open, however, to suggestions as there are so many options currently. I will consider used equipment if it is superior to new at the price point. Associated equipment is mac-mini, jkeny mk2 hiface, beta22, audeze lcd-2.1. Thanks
