  1. Alllright, do you have a release date? As a musician/audiophile I would like to try it agaist my Paul Pang TCXO/OCXO and Samsung NVMe disks.
  2. Does someone know the write and read speed of this audiophile FEMTO NVMe? @darkforce
  3. Hi Phil, I bought your AO and now I am trying to do a double boot in my SSD 256 GB one with windows 10 which I have all my programs and the other partition, as you mentioned in your PDF, I am planning to instal Windows Server R2 and do the AO optimization there, is this possible? of course, this will be a test, once I listen to the sound differences I will do a clean install of Windows server only, please let me know, many thanks, Guillermo
  4. Hi Phil, I am planning on buying your optimizer for my W10 N, a few questions: do I need to have a clean to use the AO? There is a software that needs internet active to install it but once I install it I want al the internet features off, is that possible or I have to do it by hand? I will use it in my new supermicro with i77700K CPU, but in a few months I will do an upgrade to Xeon and another mother with ECC ram, do I have to buy again the AO or it covers both pc? Thanks Phil, hope you are doing great. Guillermo
  5. Please somebody at Sygnalist, I contact them and get no reply, suddenly an unknown from here told me to pay him...is this serious? I need to buy the soft and have a question about it!
  6. I send a direct mail to Miska but never get a response and it was about buying the player...strange
  7. Tanx Ted, do you think is less harmless to connect a Lan cable instead of having a wi fi stick? The reason im asking also is because my lan connector in the motherboard (gigabite) is just over the best usb hub where I connect the usb Dac, does the quality of lan cable matters, and the lenght?
  8. Ted b, Im using Gizmo on my headless pc, but for that I did put an usb wifi stick, do you know if that can be replaced by another method, If I can get rid of wi fi Ill be happy (if I can mantain Jriver in media network, without gui and controlling everything from my android) thanx
  9. Hi John, does your W8 Audiophile suppots wifi?, Im using my server headless and using an usb stick to control jriver via my android, thanx!
  10. If you are a wine taster then you should know that perception, although different in each person, it is very different in each subject, some will percieve more, others will percieve less and as a luthier you should know that every detail counts. If you build a solid adirondack spruce top acoustic guitar you know that the sound is different from a solid stika spruce top or the warmer tone of the indian rosewood against the brighter mahogany sides. If you use a cow bone on the bridge it will sound edgier and a little more sterile than a walrus fossilized bone, with richer overtones and sweeter treble. Then everything resides in perception. I love sound, as a musician and producer I am thinking all the time in sound, always looking in alternatives to get a more realistic and natural sound in my recordings. I did many blind tests before, if someone turns the direction of an interconect cable then I will notice that. If you work on your perception it is incredibly how far it can reach, it is not an illusion it is real fact. Can you measure beauty?
  11. This is not a matter of believing its a matter of hearing, not even understanding but feeling. But in the otherhand, here, in this fine tune obsession that we all are, comes in individual perception... and all depends in this. And, as you can imagine, perception varies in each person as much as the lines of the faces. If you need to prove that a player is different from the other by technicals means, then you cannot trust your perception you are missing the point.
  12. I am building a music server and was being adviced that you can get a better sound when you connect the hard disk to an isolated (linear powered) USB than rather connecting the hard disk in the usual way; to the motherboard. Is this true? In another interview, to Matan Arazi he explained that the hard disk should be connected to the shortest path, so the usb is not in the equation, advice?
