  1. Thanks for that info Kay.... I did have a remote session with a technician from Amarra but he couldn't figure it out either... signal was fine and in the middle of green. They said they have to contact DIRAC to find out what my error message means. It's been two and a half month now and no update from their side at all. Considering the price and the lack of support I feel like I invested in the wrong SW. I have to call them again but communication is really lousy.
  2. Thanks Raimondo...seems like communication could be better from the support team.
  3. I was just browsing through this thread but couldn't find a similar problem to mine so here it is. I'm using a MacMini mid 2011 with up to date OS 10.10.2 and Amarra Symphony & IRC 3.0.3 (4459). I recently moved and tried to measure the new room with IRC but got an error message right after the first measurement attempt. "Measurement failed etc..." Does anybody else have that issue? Solutions? I'm in contact with support since Jan 2nd all the way up the chain but it doesn't seem to be a priority. After about 6 weeks I had a remote session with support for about one hour but all which got accomplished was that my account got restored after they made changes on their side and everything got messed up and made it unusable. After that hour they said nobody looked at my actual problem with the error message and they don't know what it means. Needless to say that there is no proper documentation for trouble shooting available. Any suggestions? Does anyone have similar software to IRC which actually works and is affordable? Thanks a lot!
  4. I upgraded to Amarra 3 with IRC end of last year and can't get it to work. I get an error message when I try to use IRC which I forwarded to Amarra almost two month ago and still have no solution. Worked fine before so at this point I would not recommend an update if you are planning on using IRC
  5. I did some research and was looking in the same price range around 300$ and looked up AKGs website. The Q701 is listed for 499 Euros (~$610!) and B&H sells it for $240. Not quite sure how that works but I ordered it after reading in some forums and I'm really happy. It looks funky (white with lime green cables) and sounds fantastic - definitely a great value. I was also impressed that it comes with two cables (3m and 5m which both accept the 1/4" plug) although that's not mentioned anywhere on the website.
  6. Thanks for all the inputs... interesting reading. I just bought a Tube Amp with built-in DAC and some great speakers so all I need is a digital source and I was thinking getting a MacMini. From what I remember reading is that most DACs limit the quality of music files to 96kHz on their USB ports. What is the best way to get music out of a MacMini then?? How does that optical way out look like?? Any recommendations?
