Benchmark Dac1 - Any good or out of date?

I just made a posting over at AVForums about these two DACs. The BM is not trounced by the MDAC, and remains a good choice. The extra outlay of the BM gets you better build quality and refinement. I went with the MDAC but only by a small pinch! (and because I like new things). The BM is not in the least forward in my system - I'd rather use the term "strong" sounding!
