  1. I have always been very enthusiastic when it comes to music, but I was not really taking care of the quality of the output. Curiously I started to become aware of it since I got a set of Dr Dre Beats Studio, and that's where my interest began. I am currently listening to FLAC files out of my macbook pro (played on VLC) with a nuforce udac-2, Little Dot MKIII, with AKG Q701 headphones. I want this only for my office and will always use with heaphones. I would like to know how would you spend your next $1,000 USD to improve this setup. Thanks! *Edit Thanks for your answers I appreciate them. What I would like to know is in your opinion, how could I improve my listening experience without exceeding the mentioned amount of money. Also, is there any player you would recommend for FLAC files rather than using VLC?
  2. Yup, That`s why I wanted to get the Senns, they will arrive sometime next week. I hope the NuForce Icon uDAC-2 helps.
  3. I already bought the NuForce Icon uDAC-2 (Black) Headphone Amp and USB DAC (24bit/96kHz). Do you think I would need also a headphone amp? If so, could you recommend one that would go for around $150. Thanks!
  4. Would you prefer the Audirvana Plus over the Amarra? Thanks!
  5. Hi, I just recently got a set of Beats by Dre Studios (I know they are not the most popular around here, but hey they were a gift) and noticed sounds I have never heard before on my music, so I decided to buy the Sennheiser HD 598 to compare (they have not arrived yet). So I am trying to figure out what else can I do to make it sound even better. I have a Macbook pro, and I was contemplating to buy the NuForce Icon uDAC-2 (Black) Headphone Amp and USB DAC (24bit/96kHz) and the Amarra software to get a good upgrade in terms of output quality. Simply put, I would like some advice on where to begin. Thanks!
