  1. Thanks mwheelerk, indeed the file path is correct. For extra clarity, iTunes does not have any problem playing any file (high-res AIFF or compressed) off the nas, it's just that Amarra is struggling to sync up with iTunes when I'm playing m4a-files off the nas.
  2. Hello all, Since I have gotten so much good information from this site over the past few months I decided to join. Recently I have been building up my new audio setup, using among other things a Mac Mini running the iTunes / Amarra Mini combination (most recent versions) and a Synology NAS to store my music and 'feed' the Mac Mini. In this set-up, the Amarra/iTunes combination works fine for high-res AIFF (96khz) files on the NAS, no hick-ups or anything when pressing previous or next song, all pretty smooth. However, it appears that for some reason, Amarra has an issue with playing from my iTunes library (which contains only compressed files) when that library is stored on the NAS as well. Only when the entire iTunes Music folder (note: the AIFF's are not in this folder, but in a separate one) is on the Internal drive of the Mac Mini, compressed songs are started smooth and skipping to the next or previous song is working as it should be. As soon as I move the iTunes Music folder to the NAS (which I wanted), Amarra starts giving hickup's, because iTunes is already playing the song while Amarra seems to be still synchronizing and then matches up a few seconds later (song starts again). Since this problem does not occur with the high-res files on the NAS, so file size does not seem to be a factor. Any suggestions on how to solve this are very much appreciated! thanks, Paul
