  1. If you want better sound, then you should probably buy better speakers. As EV said, they are not difficult speakers to drive and your pioneer should be more than capable enough...but just in case, what is the model of your receiver?
  2. Generally, You'll be alright driving 2x the nominal load, so you are probably alright. Besides, the impedance of a typical guitar speaker is much higher than it's nominal at higher frequencies. What you really need to figure out is what that x-over looks like - it likely has some kind of attenuation circuit.
  3. Pick something you think about alot. What is pushing you to do films? What subject are you interested in seeing come to life? Then pick one you think would be easier to do starting off.
  4. Just abut anything is going to be better coming from Logitech... I honestly dont think you will get much bass if you looking at drivers uder 5". My Insignias 6.5" drivers are quite punchy...
  5. Thanks... Very good points about a router. I didn't think in those terms - but should have (in hindsight!!). The hole saw bit on a drill is definitely a much rougher cut and your advice is right! The stain is a red mahogany color made by Cabots. I didn't add any coating on top of it. Just as a side note - I think that slat diffuser works. I tinkered with it some last night and the dialog from my center channel was noticeably tighter!
