I used to have a Lacie drive but it is indeed way too loud! Too much clicking and scratching that I think its trying to speak to me in morse code. I used to use it to keep movies, and pictures, but now I've upgraded to one of those online storage services to store most of my stuff, and am waiting for Amazon or Google to start offering some sort of cloud ownership of movies, its only a matter of time!
In the mean time my Lacie sits around, collecting more dust than data - maybe I'll sell it as a collectible one day?
