  1. Thanks guys, the Audiophileo does look like a decent option. Any thoughts on whether there would be an inherent sonic advantage to using a PCIe card? The price of the audiophileo is getting pretty close to that of a Lynx card.
  2. Would love to get some opinions from some audiophiles with more experience than me on this. I'm running a 2010 MacPro as my music server. I've been using an old M-Audio Firewire 410. This sounds great when working, and will do 24/192 but due to drivers and the age of the thing I guess, it's very flaky. Crashes regularly, requires reboot, no audio etc. Too much frustration. I bought an ESI Juli@, only to discover (realize) it's not PCIe, just PCI, so it's a no go. The lynx cards are a little expensive. Should I go USB to SPDIF? Hiface? KingRex? Stello? Would a PCIe based solution inherently sound better? Definitely want to preserve the ability to pass 192k. Having analog outputs at the computer would be nice as well, but not a deal breaker (Computer and Dac are on different floors). Advice appreciated... Aaron.
