  1. The USBridge Signature additional endplate is cut for the Digione Signature. I have the plain Digione HAT. Can I raise the board to match the cut-outs and if so what width GPIO extender would work best?
  2. I have a Digione board installed in my US bridge Signature player and would like to attach the secondary front plate. Obviously, the plate holes are positioned for the Digione Signature board. Can I add a GPIO header to raise the Digione to fit the holes and if so what size header would work best?
  3. Gorgeous looking package, and with a claimed response down in the high 26 to 35khz range why the hell anyone would need separate subs is beyond me. I agree with others who are wary of the built in electronics. With no Canadian KEF servicing I had to ship a pair of LS50W’s down to to the US for out-of-warrenty work recently. Not sure if they felt guilty, but they had the grace to repair and ship back free of charge. I also preferred to bypass the internal streaming in favour of an external DAC. A passive bi-ampable version at $4000 would be tempting.
  4. Just curious to know if anyone might have suggestions for this odd issue. I am using the bridge with a Topping E50 USB connected. Linear PSU for both. Software is Moode configured as a ROON endpoint. All software is current. Typically everything runs fine, but if I try upsampling to DSD256, after about an hour of Tidal streaming, the signal devolves into loud static. If I revert back to 192khz the track plays fine. If I then switch to DSD256 it plays fine for another hour or so until the static kicks in again. My ROON core is running on a NUC I7 with 8gB memory and an SSD. Not a critical issue since Performance at 192 is excellent. Obviously, the problem could lie anywhere, Tidal, ROON, router, DAC, Bridge, demonic possession, but if there’s any diagnostics I can run to rule out one piece that would be great.
  5. Correction to the 8th line about Ropeee. Bit of a hangover this morning. I meant to say I switched to Ropieee and still it did NOT appear. To connect to the Pi.
  6. Good morning. Pishop.ca has requested I open a problem ticket here to see if my issue can be resolved without sending the unit back. My Boss2 Acrylic version was purchased in October 2021, and I installed a Raspberry Pi4. I removed the internal J18 jumper to configure for dual PSU's and loaded MoodeAudio. It has been running fine up until this week when the DAC appeared to lose its connection to the Pi. I tried several different PSU's on the DAC without success. I reloaded MoodeAudio and still no joy. I switched to Ropieee and still it did appear to connect the the Pi. This morning i reinstalled the J18 jumper to switch primary power back to the Pi, and the DAC connected and I can play music again. As a quick check, I inserted the PSU into the BOSS2, socket and nothing powered up. The BOSS2 socket does not appear to be damaged or loose. so my assumption is the power module on the board has developed a fault and it can only run through the Pi's power circuit. Is there anything I've missed or can I request an exchange from the vendor? PS, it's still a great sounding DAC.
  7. Just received my Boss2 and working fine as a Roon endpoint. Is there a link anywhere to explain what the various menu settings do? Output voltage and system info are self explanatory but the rest seem cryptic. Been searching all day and can’t find an explanation.

  9. Installed the tweak in ropieee yesterday. I like it a lot.
  10. A question for the manufacturer. I notice ifi Audio has a new low noise power supply called the Elite. Highest rating is 24vdc at 2.4amps. Is the current too low to optimally power the Volt +D?
  11. I see the LSX is currently on sale in most countries. My presumption is they are clearing stock for a new version, perhaps with the meta modification, but naturally I can’t find any hints on the internet. Has anyone caught a whiff of an upgrade to this model?
  12. I have a gorgeous pair of original white LS50W’s in my living room. I considered replacing them but my SO adores their looks and sound. So I upgraded them myself, using an Allo USBridge signature and an SMSL Sanskrit 10 V2, hooked into the auxiliary input. The Allo Ethernet input is via fiber optic converters. ROON upsampling still maxes out at 192, but to my ears the combination surpasses a straight connection to the speaker’s internal DAC.
  13. Currently using the ROON bridge configuration Bob and upsampling in ROON to 192khz. Will also try the Squeezelight/ROON configuration later. Cheers.
  14. Listening to Gentoo on the USBridge Sig. and finding it very nice indeed. Seems to be a little more clarity at lower volume, which is what I like in my smaller room. Took about an hour to get set up, the web interface is certainly different to the other OS’s out there so there’s a bit of a mindset change needed for a user. But overall, not an ordeal. Will give it an extended audition.
