  1. I have to admit that I dont fully understand your answer. Pardon my ignorance. I have been using a 1TB mirrored RAID drive with no issues. I simply need to go bigger as I am re-loading 1000 CD's at Lossless. If anyone has advice on a potentially better drive I'm open to suggestions. I do want one that will back up automatically as I add materiel fairly often and dont want to be bothered with doing the back ups manually.
  2. By the way, I'm using a Mac Mini (w/ Amarra) running into a PS Audio Perfectwave II DAC.
  3. Hi gang, I'm setting up a new RAID drive to increase my storage. The drive I am thinking of buying is- 4.0TB (4.0TB + 4.0TB Mirrored) NewerTech Guardian MAXimus RAID-1 [MIRROR] Quad Interface Solution from OWC. Thoughts? I could go up to a 6TB but the costs seem to be getting pretty high. Any advice is appreciated.
  4. Hi gang, So I have recently begun the unpleasant task of reloading my CD's into iTunes as they were loaded years ago prior to lossless etc. I am running Pure Music software now and noticed that when I reloaded CD's the artwork didnt upload with it,. Then when deleting the original tracks (at the lesser quality) I noticed that while those files had artwork my newly uploaded tracks did not. And original artwork got deleted with the old tracks. I applied the "Get Artwork" option which took forever to run through the 2500+ albums yet most that previously had artwork remained "naked". Did I miss something?
  5. I'll give it a shot, thanx for replying.
  6. Hey guys, I had purchased a couple albums through HD Tracks. I am using Pure Music. One album played fine while the other album only plays some of the tracks. Three of them will play (counter moves) but no sound is heard. I reloaded the album back into the player and still had the same results. Any Ideas?
  7. I have my default music folder set up via preferences on my RAID drive, but when I drag files in it insists on creating a "Music" subfile within my Media Music file? What gives?
  8. I created a music file on my raid drive and set my preferences to store music there in itunes. My library is now located there. BUT, when I drag in new music from a memory stick it automaticly creates a new "music" file within the artist list of the existing music file. What gives?
  9. I have gone back to my original hard drive and discovered that there are multiples on there as well. Many living in a folder called "Bliss" of which I have no knowledge of. Planning to simply delete that entire folder.
  10. Well I went in to the hard drive and got rid of all the redundant files (which had extra info on them as in ver1 2 or 3). Now in the iTunes window the deleted files come up with the !. Can I somehow sort for those and do another mass delete or is there a way to clean all that up another way?
  11. It should be but as they were created at roughly the same time its almost impossible to separate the original from the copy en mass with out going album by album (over 1k albums).
  12. Just transferred a large number of tracks (@ 30k) from a PC to a new Mac Mini and it seams that there are quite a few thousand duplications. Is there an easy way to perform mass deletions as opposed to actually clicking and selecting each one?
  13. Tell me about it.... Can I plug a HD that has been formatted for PC into the mini and just drag the files over? That would be the simplest. As far as a "Network" I am unclear as to how these work. Jeez, I'm used to being on Wine boards where I actually know my gig. I feel a bit like a dolt!
