  1. I am trying to use the Dirac Trail software. I get the measurements taken, go to load the files up in audio processor but the Dirac does not show up under the soundcard settings for windows. Not sure why. Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks
  2. Nice Looking build Barrows. Wondering about your motherboard, what kind is it? Is it normal for motherboards to be able to take this swing in voltage?
  3. My experience is the Stillpoints tend to roll off the high end. You really need to be careful on how much you use.
  4. What a shame, we had someone who was giving freely time, and effort to the CA community. And along comes a well known troll in the audio world and spoils the thread.
  5. sbgk, Thanks a bunch for an incredible music player. I have a much larger soundstage, and just an amazing amount of micro detail. It is just amazing that software is able to do this. Some of your versions give a real sense to room cues, while others as has been mentioned you can hear the skin of the drums. Very nice.
  6. Hi David, A few question s are needed before answers. For Instance how much material do you have to store on hard drives. You may or may not need a NAS. As for CAPS I like them they have some very good potential. And depending on you taste in music you may also like to look into JPLAY. They make some software that can take you further into the music than digital has any right to. Then you need to decide is it all audio or will there be some video going on. That is where I am at right now. Trying to figure out why I have some bad lip sync going on.
  7. Well for others that might run into something like this the problem was being caused by a couple of server apps that I had set up for wireless music. Before actually wiring the NAS up with Ethernet cable. Because I did not shut that service off or uninstall JRiver was getting the files through those apps. Have now shut them down and all is well.
  8. Thanks for doing that. Hmm I am going to have to think on that.
  9. I used a 2 TB drive connected via esata. Heard that NAS was nice and I wanted more storage so I went that route. I am not sure what is up. The all 16 bit files are showing themselves as the 1378 the higher res files are also showing themselves lower. But if I look at the file that is playing up at the top of the screen it shows it is 1411. Anyway I know it used to show the files properly.
  10. Thanks for the reply. I have never had much luck posting and getting a reply on JRiver either, don't know what it is. I guess I will try. I am using wav files. Thanks again for the reply.
  11. I just set up a NAS to feed my CAPS 2, When I updated JRiver to access the music from the NAS the listing of bit rates all changed. For instance what was once 1411 bit rate changed to 1378. Why is that?
  12. Thanks very much pacwin & Tjhub for your help.
  13. The above question is when hooked up to a CAPS server.
