Sub with USB or optical input

I am rather new to the site and could use an equipment suggestion. I have a pair of Joey Roth 2.0 computer speakers that I believe are quite nice but connect through the headphone jack. Is there a sub with a USB or optical input and 1/8 inch output? I would like to bypass my Mac mini htpc's sound card. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I am rather new to the audiophile world, and am looking at a pair of ceramic speakers designed by Joey Roth. Has anyone had a chance to hear these?
