Hello all, I'm looking to create an affordable computer based setup and have decided on this:
new model Macbook 2.4 ghz.
Devilsound DAC
Audioengine 2 speakers
Does anybody have experience with this setup? I've read that the Audioengines tend to be a bit bass heavy and some eq adjustments will be necessary... Should I use the itunes equalizer or invest in an affordable amp? I'm completely new to all of this. I got my first taste of decent audio with a pair of Sennheiser 555's. My current setup is a cheapo boombox connected to my ibook G4. I've got a ton of mp3s, but most are encoded at sub 320 bitrates. With the setup i'm planning on will I likely notice the lower quality mp3s? Will they sound distorted, or flat? Thanks, sorry for so many questions.
