i got a 7200.11 seagate and made it a dedicated drive for my music and movies..
thing is, it sounds different. does the drive have less jitter or is it because itunes has uninterrupted access from the dedicated drive ?
i used to have my music on a 640gb drive shared with the os.

Hi Les888 - I'm certainly not doubting your listening experiences but I haven't heard of any sonic differences caused by a change of this sort. Maybe someone else can chime in here and share their experience.

I too use my 320 gig internal Seagate. I "Backup to a 500 gig external WD "My Book". Interesting thread. Cheers, keep us posted.
