I finally took the plunge today and slapped an airport X-press in between my laptop and my DAC.

I'm using my iphone to control itunes on my PC laptop and then taking optical out from the Ax to my DAC.

Trouble is, after about 5 minutes my hifi starts to whistle, so whatever is playing sounds like it is getting the vocoder treatment. After about 30 seconds it fades away, if i stop the current track playing it goes as well.

I've never had any isuess with the DAC on any of its inputs previously, so just wondered if AX had a tendency to drift on the network or picked up RF more than you might expect them to.

Any suggestions?
