    Cable Company Shipping Policy

I guess I'm just a little impatient, but it seems like 7-14 days to receive an order these days is a bit long for an order that is shipping only about 500 miles (two states). I wonder if they actually stock cables, or do they drop ship everything? This is my second order from them, and I'm just curious how their company works. I'm new to the community, and if you have any info regarding Cable Company's shipping policy, or a similar experience, I'd like to hear about it. Inner Fidelity had a cool post re: their loaner program that piqued my interest......seems like they're consumer oriented. Funny thing about it all is, I could drive over to their office/warehouse (?) and back in about twenty hours. I guess that at current prices for fuel that would cost me about $100.00. Free shipping with a 10-14 day wait isn't so bad after all.

I too noticed a difference: when they shipped me a group of loaner cables to evaluate, they arrived in two days. After I made my choice, returned the loaners and made the purchase, the new cables took well over a week to arrive. Strangely, my first order from them shipped much faster. I think they might drop ship some items and stock others. All that said, I think they are great to work with.

The loaner program is what drew me to the Cable Company.....very pro customer.

I am sure they drop ship or something similar. Can you imagine the investment for them to stock all of those different cables...

Excellent point. I'd be a nervous wreck trying to manage that inventory.

Especially with the fickle buyers and constantly changing market. Yikes!

I am the same way with shipping. I've been a Prime Member on Amazon for a few years now and now spoiled with getting everything in 2 days..or 1...or even on a Saturday from UPS.

The last order that I placed with thecableco was for a pair of Kimber Hero cables and they were shipped directly from Kimber. I placed the order on Friday 05/11 and received them on Tuesday 05/15 via UPS. So that was pretty fast.

But before that I placed an order for a Black Cat Cable's SilverStar 75 Digital on 03/26 and didn't get it till 04/18 due to delays with the manufacturing. So that one was also shipped directly from the manufacturer.

Either way I love the fact that I talk to a real person over there (Ethan) and do like what they have to offer. Very easy to get the length you need and how you want them terminated.

I've bought a number of cables from the Cable Co (various from AudioQuest, Wireworld, Cardas) - they've *all* been drop shipped, though some arrived faster than others (AQ slow, WW was fast, Cardas was in between).

I too am an Amazon Prime member, and spoiled as well. I've place two orders with The Cable Co., and really appreciate their incentive program. I think 4est hit it on the nose re: inventory, and the associated cost.
