    w4s

    Hi,

I have problems connecting my w4s with MacBook pro or squeezebox touch (no sound).

Do you know where I could find good info about it (on CA or other sites)

    Thanks

Which W4S DAC do you have? Did you install the USB drivers, if you're going USB? I know the DAC2 at least requires them.
    Digital: Wavelength Crimson HS/Brick V3, W4S DAC2
    Headphone: Woo WA22, Audez'e LCD3
Amplification: Rogue Audio Athena/M-180, Focal 1027be
Analog: VPI Classic, SoundSmith Zephyr, Zyx Artisan

I Have DAC2 and I launched USB w4s USB interface with the CDR if this is what you mean.

I adjusted MIDI audio too. I set up w4s too and still no sound. In fact, the sound comes from the computer as if there would be no USB connection.

Did you follow the instructions for installing the USB drivers as outlined in the owners manual? They have pretty specific instructions on how to install and what order to do things to get up and running....

Is the W4S 24/192 USB interface showing up in audio/midi setup?

Have you selected it as the default sound output device (little black speaker icon should be next to it)?

Glad I could help. The W4S Dac 2 does take awhile to burn in so enjoy the process :~)
