New to the forums!

First off let me say, im pretty new to the forums/site/hifi in general, And i was wondering a quick few questions, i'll be heading off to the dorms soon, and wanting to use my PC for audio and i was wondering, if i am headed in the right direction.

So far what i have put together

Soundcard : ESI - Juli@
Speakers : HiVi Swan m10's

The speakers get pretty good reviews for how cheap they are, and i dont want to spend too much money
as when i get back from the dorms i will want to upgrade and go all out on equipment.
