Max help

Hi all, long time since last posting. I'm attempting to copy/convert several albums' files from AIFF to Apple Lossless (I have my reasons) using Max. I'm trying to do several albums at once. I must be doing something stupid. All of the outputted track files end up all together in one big folder instead of individual folders for Artist/Album etc. I assumed Max would create the folders. What am I doing wrong? Am I choosing the files to be converted from the wrong level of folder hierarchy? Is there some setting in Preferences I'm not doing right? I have done the file format thingy where you lay out {artist}/{album title}/{track name} just like it says you're supposed to. It's giving me a headache.

Huge thanks for anyone who can help a poor soul out here.

PS I and friends and family have been thoroughly enjoying my Macbook-based system for awhile now. My brother was inspired enough to create his own!

Hi Tim - Two things. First I recommend using iTunes to handle this. iTunes will create a second copy of all your tracks in whatever format you select. Second in Max if you chose to leave the converted files in the same directory as the source the files will be put in the same directories.

Not sure if this gets you to where you want to be, but it should. Let me know how I can help.

You're right, Chris, I'll just use iTunes to do the work. I was hoping that Max would be able to do a mass conversion easier, but no luck. Thanks
