Wow do I feel dumb. I forgot to change the video to public. That's the last thing I do right before publishing articles and I completely forgot, then went to bed :~(.

      Anyway, it's fixed now.

      Hi Chris,

Love your 90 second teaser segment. Any idea when WiMP plans to come to the USA? Should we expect an announcement at RMAF?

      Thanks,

      Bob

Wow, Great and thanks. Also, Berkley still has no info up on its website on the new DAC. Just a picture and come back later message. Bob

      Hello Chris,

About the Lumin NAS, can you add/connect an external HD to its USB ports in the back so you can go beyond the 1TB limit of the unit itself?

      Thanks!

      Hi Chris,

Was the Lumin power supply for the NAS, or is there a switching power supply inside the Lumin NAS? Are you allowed to show the innards of these toys when reviewing, as that is always very interesting and telling?

      Cheers

While the Lumin is $1200 and the QNAP is $550, that direct price comparison is not meaningful since you have to add drives to the QNAP. If you add a pair of WD Red 6Tb drives, the prices are almost equal but you are getting 12Tb instead of only 1Tb with the Lumin. Also, I suspect that the QNAP can be set up with a RAID configuration but I wonder what, if any, provisions there are in the Lumin.

Looking forward to hear if the head of Auralic is big-endian or little-endian.

Good question. The power supply is for the original Lumin player not the NAS.
