Sorry, if this has been discussed before or is too obvious: Which connection should I use between my eMac and M-Audio Audiophile 2496 Firewire –firewire or spdif? Whatever interface sounds better to you in your system will be the right one. I believe your S/PDIF interface will also do 24/96 like the FireWire interface. If all your content is 16/44.1 then this won't really matter. A black & white answer to what interface is better is really not possible because they are all implemented differently.
