MontyW
Hi, Are there any software packages for Apple Macs that will help me test my system i.e. real-time sound measurement so that I can optimize/control my room acoustics? Wavelength
Monty, For the mac the best you can do is use the Faber Acoustics software. http://www.faberacoustical.com/ It works really well in most instances better than some of the expensive stuff I use. MontyW
Hi Gordon, Could you explain in real simple terms how I would use the faber software to analyze my room acoustics and what kit do I need other than my Mac in order to do this? Cheers, Monty Location: Manchester\'ish - UK. System: iMac, YellowTec PUC2 Lite, Genelec 7270A sub, 2 x 8240A monitors, a Drobo and Vovox cables. Link to comment
Wavelength
Monty, You would basically send a signal out the mac via the Faber signal generator and then then use a microphone to see what the room response is. You may want to ask Ben Faber, he is a good guy and can better tell you what you need. Thanks Gordon J.
