The Computer Audiophile
Hey guys I just got the new Santana release from Mobile Fidelity. For some reason my MacBook Pro drive won't even recognize the disc. My newer MacBook reads it just fine. Anyone else have this issue with MoFi discs or any other discs? Nels Ferre
Chris, I had this problem with one of The Beatles Anthology discs when I was ripping everything to my external hard drive. My Dell Inspiron drive (Philips) just sat there dead, my wife's Macbook drive was fine. I ended up ripping the disc to the internal drive in the Macbook, and burning a copy from that. The copy worked perfectly in the Dell. I hope this helps. Nels Reviewer- Enjoythemusic.com Link to comment
The Computer Audiophile
Thanks Nels. I am thinking about getting the best external drive I can find for times like these. Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment
Nels Ferre
That's a good idea Chris, but for a different reason. I was worried when I was ripping everything with the Dell that I would end up killing the drive. As you are aware, laptop parts aren't cheap. I know someone who killed his internal drive in a Mac laptop. Reviewer- Enjoythemusic.com Link to comment
