This is a great time of year to be a computer audiophile. Both new audio and new computer components are traditionally released between now and CES in January. I'm awaiting arrival of two computer components for C.A.P.S. v3 testing. The release date of these components has been pushed back a bit by the manufacturers. I feel like a little kid full of excitement waiting for these items. I'm also very excited to attend Rocky Mountain Audiofest this week in Denver, CO. In addition to seeing and hearing some new components I'll be conducting two seminars in the Aspen Amphitheater. A DVD Audio and Blu-ray Ripping session as well as my favorite Computer Audio Q&A session. A few weeks after RMAF I'll be flying to Warsaw, Poland. I've been invited to present two computer audio seminars at the 16th annual Audio Show Poland's largest exhibition of audio-video equipment and home theater. The best part will certainly be meeting CA readers at RMAF this week and next month in Poland. It's truly a great time to be a computer audiophile.

CA is finally coming to New York City! April 13, 14, & 15 I will be conducting computer audio seminars at NYC audio dealer Stereo Exchange. I'd love to finally meet all the Computer Audiophile readers who've emailed me over the last few years asking when CA would be in NYC. The entire weekend will be a great time to chat about any and all computer audio topics. If the forums intimidate you, if you think your questions are to remedial, or you don't even know what to ask I'd love to help you out in person. I also encourage those with high levels of computer audio knowledge to join the fun as I enjoy learning from CA readers about all the tips and tricks I have yet to discover. In addition to my computer audio seminars there will be many manufacturers at the event including Audio Research, Bel Canto, Arcam, and Peachtree Audio. It's a great opportunity to talk directly to the people who create the products we use in our systems. Read more for additional details.
Join Computer Audiophile at Paradyme Sound & Vision in Sacramento, CA on 12/08/2011. The evening will be full of presentations from audio manufacturers and I'll give computer audio clinic from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. I'm looking forward to meeting Computer Audiophile readers from the Sacramento area. Last month in North Carolina the turnout was great. Let's see if we can make this Music Matter event even better. I encourage all readers to head out to Paradyme on Thursday.
Bjorn's Audio Video in San Antonio, TX is hosing its second annual Music Matters event Thursday Nov. 11, 2010. Myself along with a host of manufacturers will be there from 10AM to 9PM. Of course I'll discuss everything related to computer based playback and music servers and answer questions until Bjorn's locks the doors. I look forward to meeting the burgeoning computer audiophile community on Thursday in San Antonio.
Join Computer Audiophile at Listen Up in Colorado for Digital Music Matters. Myself, David Solomon of Peachtree Audio, and Adrian Eiben of Sonos will be talking about nothing but digital audio for three nights. The events will take place in Colorado Springs August 24, Denver August 25, and Boulder August 26. I'll be talking about how to get the best audiophile sound quality form a music server as well as sharing some tips and tricks related to computer audio. As usual I'll have plenty of high resolution material to play through a number of great audio systems at Listen Up. I hope to see many of the Computer Audiophile readers during this trip. Read more for RSVP information and the official event postcard. I look forward to seeing many of you there :~)
Computer Audiophile readers are invited to join me at Century Stereo in San Jose, CA Wednesday July 14, 2010. This event will be similar to the event at Music Lovers Audio in April. David Solomon from Peachtree Audio will discuss computer based audio as it relates to the Peachtree products. I will talk about music server configuration, Mac v Windows, CD ripping, bit transparency, and many of the topics discussed here on CA. I will also be fielding questions until the doors close or we are forcefully removed from the premises. I look forward to meeting more Computer Audiophile readers and talking computer based audio until I'm blue in the face. Read more for specific event details.
