Definitively worth to read and it may quite stop the discussion about fancy cabling and money spent for audio "bijoux" ;-)

Of course we can say that it was 2006 and technology changed since there etc., but the clue is indeed "out there".

I've given up on the cable races a few years ago ( kind of). I used to own big buck cables everywhere but now only have 1 big $$$ cable left in my system which is the USB cable to my DAC. I would sell it also but it sickens me to think of the loss of money I would encounter doing so. I'll hold on to it for now. Though I'm pretty certain I could DIY a better one myself if I find the time and motivation some day.

In any event, in terms of speaker cable, I've become a believer in the Mogami brand for all connections of this type. When you look at the hard numbers in terms of resistance, capacitance, copper type, gauge....etc..etc they are one of the few brands bold enough to publish such figures on each of their cable flavors. They've got nothing to hide, and for good reason IME.

I challenge the boutique brands to grow some balls and show us the hard numbers of their cables so we the consumer can compare if their extra cost is worth it over a well seasoned brand like Mogami

Yes, this is certainly would be a good thing. Time to time I tried to request some boutique brands to give me those numbers, but usually the answer is that they are not providing such data to customers :-/ I have very good experience with Mogami and could recommend this brand to anyone who is looking for good value and do not want to spend stupid money for BS.
