It been a while since my last blog, thought I would tell you how I came about the system I am running today.
Back in November 2012 I went to a Headphone meet up in Cambridgeshire England. While there a raffle was held, and I decided to take part as it was for a good cause. If memory serves me right it was for a Cambridgeshire hard of hearing charity.
Any way, I was delighted when my ticket got pulled out first. I had a pick off a load off stuff, but I had tried this tube amp, and kept on going back to it, there was just something about the sound out off it. So I picked the White Bird Amplification VIRTUS-01.
Too my surprise my numbers got called again, and this time I went for a Dac which was what I was really looking for. So the little Lindemann USB-DAC 24/192 became mine. Well when my numbers got called again it was starting to get a little embarrassing, so went for a Oscar Audio Headphone stand.
That's not the end of it, I got picked again, but this time we all agreed to give some one else a go. Didn't the man do well. Have now got a pair of Sennheiser HD650 headphones now and am a happy bunny.
This is my system now. PC>JRiver> Lindemann USB-DAC 24/192> White Bird Amplification VIRTUS-01> Sennheiser HD650 headphones.
